Char Dhams Snowfall: Chill increased-Tourists wait is also over

At the same time, there was drizzle in the surrounding areas including the district headquarters. Due to snowfall in high altitude areas and rain in lower areas, the temperature has dropped and the cold has increased.

Snowfall was eagerly awaited

This year, rain and snowfall were being eagerly awaited in the border district. Usually, snowfall in high altitude areas and rain in lower areas starts from the month of November. But this time it did not happen, instead, due to only dry cold, children and adults are also falling prey to cold, cough, flu and fever.

Temperature reached minus 11 degrees in Kedarnath

The weather turned bad from afternoon onwards in Kedarnath, Madmaheshwar, Tungnath and other high altitude areas. Dense clouds remained here, due to which there is severe cold here. Tourists present in Chakrata enjoyed the first snowfall of the season

The first snowfall of this season also occurred on the high peaks of the region including Chakrata. Snow has fallen in the second week of December after four years. Heavy snowfall has been occurring in Tharali and Dewal villages of Chamoli district since Sunday night. Due to which more than 20 villages of Dewal and 10 villages of Tharali are covered with snow. The surrounding villages including Kolpuri, Ratgaon of Tharali tehsil are buried under snow. While the Himalayan villages of Dewal block, Lohajung, Van, Wank, Kuling, Didna, Ghes, Himni, Balan, Pinau and more than 20 villages received heavy snowfall. Many Bugyal areas including main tourist places Roopkund, Vedni, Ali Bugyal, Brahmatal, Bhikaltal, Bagji Bugyal, Aijantop, Gairoli Patal, Baguwawasa are covered with snow.
