Uttarakhand Nikay Election 2024 : BJP is going to announce the names of all the authorized candidates of the party for the civic elections by Friday evening. In which more women will be given a chance than the reservation of Matri Shakti.

Consensus reached on the names of all the seats - Most of the names will be public by Friday

Responding to the questions of the media, State President Mahendra Bhatt said that after two days of discussion, till now the party has prepared a panel of names for all the civic seats.

In the meeting of the State Election Committee, apart from taking a final decision on all the names of the Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat President, the names of the Corporation Mayor have to go to the central leadership for recommendation. Expressing hope, he said that by tomorrow evening all the names will reach us from the Center.

After this, the names of all the candidates of Municipal Council Presidents and Nagar Panchayat Presidents along with the corporations will be announced. As far as the question of councilors, councilors and ward members is concerned, the process has almost been completed on them too. Therefore, most of their names will also be announced by Friday.

Women will get more representation

On the question of representation of women, he said that the blessings of Matri Shakti have always been received by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Our Modi government at the Center and Dhami government in the state have done great work in the interest of women.

We are fortunate that apart from the women reserved seats in the party, the name of Matri Shakti is being considered on many general seats. Therefore, when the final list of candidates comes out, the number of women candidates will be more than the 33 percent rights given to them.

Possibility of victory important in the selection of candidates

On the question of more candidates and newly included claimants, he clarified that because we are a winning party. Therefore, it is natural for us to have more number of candidates and this is also a good sign.

Otherwise, there are many parties which are not even getting candidates. As far as the question of new and old claimants is concerned, the commitment to the party, popularity among the public along with the possibilities of victory have also been assessed.
